Nitin was born and brought up in a remote corner of Western Himalayans called Chamba in the state of Himachal Pradesh. He has been exploring this beautiful world of ours since he was 15 years starting with in his own back yard of the Himalayas. Helping his parent’s trekking outfitter as a porter, in the Western Himalayas, he carried bags for international trekkers that came to India wanting to trek some of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world. He genuinely loves the mountains and fell in love being a shepherd of the trekkers.

Since then, his passion has only grown to explore not only India but beyond its borders. His travels have taken him to spectacular places around the globe. Leading like-minded travels to meet local communities from the tropical Islands of Papua New Guinea to the deserts of northwestern China. Nitin’s passion is to facilitate meaningful interactions between travelers and locals to ensure that travelers can experience the extraordinary and be transported out of their daily lives.

In 2019, Nitin was awarded Silver World Guide Award at the Royal Geographic Society by Wanderlust Magazine. Having had the opportunity to turn his passion into his profession, he is so thankful to all of the travelers, many of whom have become friends, that voted for him.

Nitin is also a certified mountaineer, having lead mountain treks in India and Nepal. He has spent the last 15 years leading for Eldertreks, primarily in India and Papua New Guinea, however he has lead programs all over the planet including China, Japan, Iran, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Indian Sub-continent and many more. Every trip is another opportunity for Nitin to learn more about difference cultures and experience that with his travelers.
